Matthew Ford trials for UK clubs

Matthew Ford began his playing career with Eltham Eagles aged 10 and quickly developed a passion to play the game at a more competitive level moving to Heidelberg United Football Club. After a short time Matthew moved to Whittlesea United FC and commenced training with the Melbourne Football Academy joining the MFA of Football Excellence to further strengthen his technical ability.

Matthew then departed for the United Kingdom, going to England at the age of 14 to trial for clubs including Arsenal FC, Stoke City FC and Derby County FC. After trialling, Matthew recieved an offer to play in England's League 1 competition for Cheltenham Town Academy. Whilst playing in England Matthew was invited to play for the Lebanese National Team, representing Lebanon's under 20's team at the young age of 16.

As we continue to monitor Matthew's development from all at the Melbourne Football Academy we wish Matthew all the very best in his future football endeavours.
