Dutch Partners return for 2022
Melbourne Football Academy is pleased to welcome back our Dutch partners after a two year hiatus. Two coaches from our SoccerPlay Program, David Zonneveld and Ronald Offerman, from Amsterdam Netherlands, visited MFA in Melbourne for a weeks long training camp.
Upon the third visit of our Dutch partners, our overseas guests were delighted with the commitment of MFAs passionate football members, with this Spring visit the first of a two part programme of activities - on and off the pitch - bringing out Dutch partners to Melbourne Football Academy Training Centre.
The SoccerPlay Camp provides an excellent opportunity for our Melbourne Football Academy of Football Excellence players to learn advanced footballing skills and methodology from highly experienced coaches who have worked alongside former AFC Ajax Amsterdam Manager, Marcel Keizer.
For the last ten years, the Melbourne Football Academy has collaborated with SoccerPlay, formerly known as Ajax Online Academy, to share the benefits of professional football training with MFA. Moreover, the Academy and its partners have progressively extended the focus from skills training to all-round development of young people. Focusing on building their physical, mental and social capabilities. David Zonneveld, the academy's coordinator, noted that football is a wonderful way to bring people together - opening hearts and minds across cultures and uniting poeple with the same passion for football.
SoccerPlays third visit comes with great timing as it ties into MFAs and SoccerPlays 10 year anniversary as official partners. The visit continues to maintain an integral overseas partnership that assists Melbourne Football Academy in continuing its ongoing football education program, continually introducing innovative adaptations to better the abilities of our students.
